Nikon has announced its latest camera in the Nikon 1 mirrorless series. The Nikon 1 S2 will be Nikon’s most compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera yet. It features a 14.2 MP 1-inch CMOS sensor along with the Expeed 4A image processing engine. The Nikon 1 S2 has an ISO range going from ISO 100 - 12800, hybrid auto-focus system, continuous shooting mode of a whopping 20 fps and 1080/60p video recording. There are 171 AF points, which is similar to that seen on the Nikon 1 J4 . It comes with a rather low resolution 3-inch 460k dot LCD fixed LCD screen. It is a non-touch screen. There are several popular creative modes such as selective colour, miniature effect, easy panorama and so on. The Nikon 1 S2 takes in a microSD card. The Nikon 1 S2, kitted with the 11-27.5mm F3.5-5.6 lens, will be available in black, white, red and yellow for $449.95 or approx Rs 26,730. A two lens kit with the 11-27.5mm F3.5-5.6 and VR 30-110mm F3.8-5.6 will sell for $699.95 or approx Rs 41,570. It will be available in June. The Nikon 1 J4 will start selling this month. With the 10-30mm F3.5-5.6 PD-Zoom lens, the J4 will sell for $649.95 or approx Rs 38,600. It will come in black, white, silver and orange. A kit with the 10-100mm F4.0-5.6 VR lens will sell for $849.95 or approx Rs 50,480. A two lens, 10-30mm F3.5-5.6 PD-Zoom and VR 30-110mm F3.8-5.6, kit will be available for $1,049.95 or approx Rs 62,360.
