Popular custom ROM creator, Paranoid Android has announced that the Nextbit Robin would received support for its custom ROM. Nextbit Robin started out as a Kickstarter project on 1 September, 2015, and was commercially launched earlier this year. Meanwhile, Paranoid Android added that the latest ROM would be available for the Robin as well as OnePlus 3 devices. It added that developers spent two months to optimise and test the build for the Robin and make it available for a wider audience.
Among the key features of this ROM is a button that lets you switch to the last used app, and additional improvements in battery, and system-wide performance. Custom routines maximise performance on Kryo devices in addition to stability and fix bugs in the Nextbit Robin.
In addition, there were a host of changes in the OnePlus 3 build. This includes full support for VoLTE, improved power management, camera quality, GPS, audio platform, memory management and graphic textures. Bug fixes for camera flash and other internal issues, device encryption and Wi-Fi Hotspot have also been added.
Paranoid Android outlined its “release if perfect” philosophy. This explains the availability of just 3 updates in the year since relaunch. The team said that its commitment at providing the perfect build results in its updates being relatively stable and worthy of daily use.
In fact, the team is already working on Nougat. A few devices are up and running on the latest Android 7, with the feature porting process expected to start soon. The post clarifies that some features could be dropped as they are working on new features to make an Android Nougat-based theme, to weave a much better user experience.
