News of Osama's Death Broken on Twitter First

US President, Barack Obama announced the death of Al Qaeda mastermind, Osama bin Laden a few hours ago. However, speculation was already generating because of a tweet from Keith Urbahn, saying, “So I’m told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden. Hot damn.” Urbahn is the chief of staff for the office of the former Secretary of Defence, Donald Rumsfeld. He also tweeted information he had found out from his sources like, “Highly unlikely that if we had credible info on UBL’s location that Hellfires from a drone would be the weapon of choice.” Obama confirmed that after appointing Leon Panetta, who will become his Secretary of Defence, that killing bin Laden is top priority in the war against Al Qaeda.

Meanwhile Google Maps has already pinpointed Osama’s location

At the time, Obama was already preparing to make the announcement and reporters had already started the scramble to figure out what the announcement was. Obama announced that bin Laden was killed by a small team of Americans. It was later announced that the 40 minute operation was conducted by Navy Seals in helicopters and on the ground. No Americans were hurt in the operation. Obama had apparently given the order to attack bin Laden in the compound he was living in in Abbottabad, Pakistan, during a security meeting, while the rest of the world was caught up watching the Royal Wedding.
