New video of the Apple iPhone 8 dummy surfaces on YouTube; reveals dual front cameras

As we edge closer to the launch of the much anticipated Apple iPhone 8, more and more leaks of what is claimed to be the flagship iPhone continue to float around the internet. The latest to be added to the list is a live video of a black device claimed to be the new iPhone 8. [caption id=“attachment_2846750” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Representative image. Reuters[/caption] A  report by GSMArena states that though the device in the video is in all likelihood a dummy unit of what Apple is due to release, the design is more of what we’ve already seen in previous dummies. The vertical dual camera setup on the back appears yet again, with the dual-tone LED flash being squeezed in between the two cameras. The back has a glossy finish courtesy of the glass back while the front again reveals the missing home button, pointing towards the complete omission of Touch ID from the latest iPhone. This argument is further supported by the presence of dual-cameras on the front of the phone. As reported earlier, Apple could opt for a 3D-facial recognition technology to replace Touch ID and the home button on the new iPhone. A recent report also mentioned that the 3D-facial recognition technology could also be used to authenticate payments via Apple Pay.

The video shared by TechTastic is, however, of very poor quality and lastly barely 5 seconds. The sides of the phone in the video also show the regular lock button the right followed by the volume buttons on the right along with the mute switch.
