New Savage 2 Patch coming on 17th June

The second free content patch for Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is set for release on June 17, which will include great new additions such as an automated tournament feature, three new maps, purchasable persistent items, a new dodge mechanic as well as a new unit for the Beast and Human sides. 1UP.com has an exclusive video for the new Beast unit – the hunter, which will replace the Summoner to balance things out.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Here’s a list of what the Hunter’s abilities are:

* Hunter Wings (Melee): The Hunter’s wings provide more than just maneuverability on the battlefield. When confronted, the Hunter can use his wings as mighty weapons.
* Glide Strike (Special Attack): The hunter engages in limited flight, zooming ahead and damaging enemies in his path.
* Wing Spin (Special Attack): The Hunter does a 360 spin, stirring up a gust of wind. Damages nearby opponents and pushes them back slightly.
* Frenzy (InstaCast Self Buff): When activated, each successful melee strike restores some stamina of the Hunter.
* Venemous (InstaCast Self Buff): The hunter releases poison within his wings. Each melee attack also poisons the target for a short time. The poison effect will increase in intensity the more times the target is hit.
* Sleep (InstaCast Self Buff): The hunter goes into a deep sleep. Protected by his wings, he is immune to ranged attack and heals over time.
* Bat Eyes (Gadget): Places a Sentry bat, either at a location or on a player. The bat lasts for 3 minutes and has a sight range of 291 feet. Polymorphed or cloaked enemy units will be revealed if they are within the sight range of the bat.

I’m really glad that they’ve replaced the Summoner, since that’s the one unit in the game that I’ve absolutely hated! To know more about the game check out our review .
