Yet another leak has now surfaced about Google’s upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone. This time around, the leak, coming from prolific tipster @evleaks, brings us a press render showing the left panel of the device, complete with the volume rocker controls. The new image doesn’t reveal much else in the way of details, but we already have a fair idea of the features, courtesy the host of leaks and reports coming our way in the last few months.
According to the leak, the device will be released on Sprint, a US carrier. There has not been any word on how much the handset will be priced at, although this is the first time we have heard about a specific carrier. While Google and LG have both been tightlipped about the exact release date for the new device, earlier reports have hinted at the new smartphone being launched on October 31.

Another leak, again from the same source, showed a press render of the Nexus 5 in a white two-toned finish, with a black front panel and a white rear panel. The image also shows the homescreen with apps like camera, Chrome, Hangout, the dialer, Play Store and Google’s Hub that comes with the usual app list like Gmail, Google Photos, Google+ and others. There is no confirmation from Google that this is the final device, though, so it is tough to validate the image.
So far, we expect the Nexus 5 to come with a 4.95-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity-wise, the device comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and will likely come in 16GB and 32GB internal memory variants.
The Nexus 5 will come with ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, an accelerometer, compass, notification LED and a gyroscope. While the price has not been officially announced, an accidental listing of the device on the Google Play store revealed that the device may come with a $349 (Rs 21,350 approx) price tag, although there is no official word on how much the handset will cost in India.
