If you were thinking of investing in a modular smartphone this year end, there's only one choice that comes to mind and it's called the Motorola Moto Z. But if you thought that Mods were a bit too limited in number, think again. In addition to existing four Mods (three available in India) Motorola has now announced two more Moto Mods and they come from accessory maker Incipio and Mophie.
The Mophie juice pack will set you back by $79.99 and it is the largest Moto Mod battery pack in existence at 3,000mAh. The Verge's report cites Motorola that claims its Mophie Moto Mod can provide up to 60 percent more battery life. It also features a hidden USB Type C port for charging and obviously charges when plugged in via the Moto Z as well.
The second Mod announced comes from Incipio and is basically a car dock for the smartphone. As the name suggests it allows you to rest your Moto Z onto a mount that fits into the cars' air conditioning vent. Once docked, the smartphone automatically launches Android Auto forcing the driver to switch to a safer interface and you can charge it as well.
Both Moto Mods will arrive in the near future in the US, there is no news about them heading to India as of now.
