New Humble Bundle weekly sale has games by Telltale Games

While Humble Bundle has its big bundles up for grabs, it also has weekly sales with different games every week. This time around, the weekly Humble Bundle has episodic games by Telltale Games. You can pick one out of six games, including Back to the Future: The Game, Sam & Max: Devil’s Playhouse, Poker Night at the Inventory, Hector: Badge of Carnage, Puzzle Agent 1 and 2, and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures.

As is usual for the pay-what-you-want Humble Bundle, there are extra goodies if you pay more than the average. At the time of writing, the average stands at $4.25, which roughly translates to Rs 240. Paying above the average for the bundle gives you a Steam key for all five episodes of Telltale’s zombie epic – The Walking Dead.

Back to the Future: The Game is a five-episode series that revolves around the same characters from the movie—Marty McFly and Doc Brown. The game takes place six months after the events of the third movie. The DeLorean Time Machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley without a driver. Marty must go back in time and get help from a teenage Emmet Brown, because the space time continuum is in danger.

Sam & Max: Devil’s Playhouse is a five-episode series where an otherworldly power for controlling matter and space calls to the strongest and strangest to wield it. This includes intergalactic warlords, under-dwellers, scholars of the arcane and eldritch gods. Detective duo Sam and Max seek the power’s secrets. Max gains shape shifting, teleportation, mind reading and future vision abilities to fight against these enemies.

Poker Night at the Inventory is the only game in the bundle that isn’t episodic. In the game, you play poker with Penny Arcade’s Tycho, Team Fortress 2’s Heavy, Homestar Runner’s Strong Bad and Sam & Max’s Max. Winning matches in the game gets you cosmetic items to use in Team Fortress 2.

Hector: Badge of Carnage is a three-episode series that revolves around Hector—also known as the “Fat Arse of the Law”. He is a flawed, misanthropic Detective Inspector who works for the Clappers Wreake Police Service. On a good day, Hector is violent, drunken, callous, vulgar and sarcastic. The game revolves around a hostage crisis at the centre of the town Clappers Wreake.

Puzzle Agent 1 & 2, as you may have guessed from the name, is a two-game series. The game involves a bunch of puzzles and brainteasers, but with a plot attached. The first game revolves around puzzles given to you by the White House, and the second game revolves around the mystery of “the Hidden People.”

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures is a four-episode series based on the cartoon series of the same name.

The Walking Dead is a serious look at a zombie apocalypse, but hardly involves killing zombies. Instead, the game has you interact with other people and deals mostly with your actions and how it affects your relationships with the rest of your group. The game got our Game of the Year award for last year.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
