While HTC has been tight lipped about its upcoming flagship, a lot has already been said and written about the ‘All New HTC One’ or M8. From its dual cameras to fingerprint scanner, most of its specs are already out. Now GSMArena has got its hands on the complete specs of the device and also a sales guide that explains the key features of the HTC One successor.
The leaked sales guide talks about the design, sound and control, among other features, and how a marketer could demonstrate these features to customers.
As expected, the HTC One (2014) will feature a 5-inch 1080p display. Tipping the scale at 160 grams, the device dimensions are 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm. It comes armed with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The smartphone will come equipped with a nano SIM. On the storage front, expect 16GB of onboard storage and a micro SD card slot that supports up to 16GB memory.
There is no word on the camera resolution yet, the rest of the camera features appear to be same including 1/3.0" size, f/2.0 aperture and 2µm pixel size. The video capture is said to be 1080p, and not not 4K. One can also expect a 5MP front-facing camera, says the report. The All New HTC One will be fuelled by a 2,600 mAh battery.
One of the key features of the HTC One will be the dual cameras on the back, which will allow users to refocus a image after it has been taken to either put the focus on the background or foreground. Expect stunning bokehs with this camera setup. In addition, we will also see new software feature called Motion Launch, which gives you quick access to your apps and BlinkFeed from standby mode using swipes and double taps. HTC has also added some new accessibility features such as auto-answer for incoming calls.
HTC’s signature BoomSound speakers will make a reappearance and are said to provide better output than the departing flagship. We would like to see how HTC has improved upon the already stellar loudspeaker experience on the One.
The report also reveals some key apps that the company plans to pitch to the customers such as HTC Sense TV to control the TV and keep up with the social media comments of your favourite show, HTC Sense TV Sports to enhance live sports watching experience and HTC Match to transfer all data from an old phone to the new One.
