Rumours of a new DLC for Crysis 3 have been floating around. According to MP1st , Crytek has released a bunch of screenshots on its social media accounts, and if these screenshots are anything to go by, the rumoured DLC for Crysis 3 will be set on a tropical island.

The tropical island in the screenshots is very reminiscent of the setting of the first Crysis game. What confirms that these aren’t from Crysis, however, is the fact that one of the screenshots has a lens flare because of the sunlight. Lens flare wasn’t present in the first and second Crysis games. This suggests that the screenshots were made using the same engine as Crysis 3.

Crytek has also released a picture that has two weapons. One is the familiar standard assault rifle from Crysis 3. The other, however, is new. The company refers to the new weapon as the CLAW and has given a caption for the image: “One of these weapons is very different to the other. COMMENT on which one you would most like to carry into combat?”

Crysis 3 was released back in February. The game is set in the year 2047 and picks up the story right after Crysis 2. The story revolves around Psycho and Prophet, both fighting the now-globally-dominant CELL corporation, as well as the remnant of the Ceph – an alien species. The setting this time around is a mix of the first and second Crysis games – a New York that has been infested by a forest.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
