After its announcement at E3 2006, NFSC seemed to vaporize into thin air without a trace or a screenshot. Now, thanks to a couple of European and American magazines, a couple of details have finally emerged.

NFSC has not got its name from carbon fibre (as some speculated), but from Carbon Canyon, California, a mecca for race enthusiasts who race for pink slips AKA their opponent’s ride.

The game will incorporate the best of the latest NFS games with customization from the Underground series and cop chases from Most Wanted, but this time round there will be a strong emphasis on building a crew. Each member of your crew will have their own distinct personality, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Some of them will be good at drifting, while some may be good at drag, while some may be good at taking opponents off the road.

Sadly, there’s been no mention of a car line-up till now, nor has any sort of media been released, but stay tuned (Look ma, a pun), we’ll bring you more as and when it’s out.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
