Developer Naughty Dog has revealed the upcoming DLC of this year’s action/adventure title The Last of Us. It’s no secret that the game has a Season Pass that players can buy, and so Naughty Dog has revealed plans for the first of the three Season Pass DLC packs. The first one will be the Abandoned Territories map pack for multiplayer.

The map pack includes the Suburbs map, the Bus Depot map, the Hometown map and the Bookstore map. The Suburbs map has a dynamic dust storm that can strike at any moment. Bus Depot has a bunch of wild giraffes in the background. Hometown is dark and moonlit with a focus on stealth. Bookstore adds some verticality to the fighting with a bi-level layout. The map pack will hit PlayStation Network on October 16.

Talking about another part of the Season Pass—a story-centric single player DLC—Naughty Dog’s Community Strategist Eric Monacelli describes it as having an ambitious story with strong ties into the narrative of The Last of Us. The casting process for the characters has apparently just ended and motion capture is going to start. The DLC will hopefully be out by December or January.

There’s no information about the third Season Pass DLC, sadly, but it is going to hit PlayStation Network in the first half of 2014. Naughty Dog will be revealing more details as the release date gets closer.

The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3-exclusive title and costs Rs 2,999. It is available through both retail channels as well as digitally through the PlayStation Store. Check out our review .

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
