It’s day one at the Mobile World Congress and after a long day zero filled with action-packed launches from Samsung, Huawei and Nokia, it’s now time for Sony to take the stage, with Asus stealing the limelight at the end of the day. Two of which are expected to be the Sony Xperia XZ2 flagship and the Xperia XZ2 Compact which is a smaller version of the flagship. While Sony’s mysterious teasers don’t reveal much, Sony did promise a brand new design philosophy that should hopefully get rid of those thick bezels. As for Asus, the company has sent out invited for what is expected to be a dual camera smartphone, expected to be launched at the MWC 2018.

Lenovo unveils the Yoga 530 and Yoga 730 with support for Amazon Alexa
The new Yoga laptops were unveiled at MWC and are cheaper 2-in-1 devices in the sub-$900 range. The larger, 15-inch Yoga 730 even comes with a discrete GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are now available for pre-booking in India.

Vivo APEX concept smartphone featuring 98% screen to body ratio, retractable selfie camera, shown at MWC 2018
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Monday introduced a “FullView” concept smartphone named APEX that has the world’s highest screen-to-body ratio and half-screen in-display fingerprint scanning technology at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC) here.
Vivo APEX features top and side bezels of 1.8-mm — the thinnest in the industry and a 4.3-mm bottom bezel and a screen-to-body ratio exceeding 98 percent.

India’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel today said it has joined a new global collaboration to bring high-speed and uninterrupted in-flight data connectivity to mobile customers.
The global partnership Seamless Alliance, whose other founding members include OneWeb, Airbus, Delta and Sprint, will work towards leveraging satellite technology to offer high-speed data connectivity to mobile users even when they are up in the air, an Airtel statement said.
“Airtel has joined the Seamless Alliance which will usher in a new era of open innovation for mobile operators and airlines by empowering mobile operators to extend their services into airline cabins,” the statement added.
