MWC 2017: Nokia announces the launch of Nokia 3 with 2GB RAM and aluminium body

Nokia has launched its latest smartphone Nokia 3 in addition to the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3310 . The smartphone is aimed at budget smartphone users and packs decent specifications accordingly. The smartphone will be available in Q2 2017 for EUR 139 (around Rs 9,800) in India, Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia-Pacific countries. As you’ll see below, the specifications of the phone aren’t that great. However, the build quality does sound exceptional on paper. Nokia announced that the phone’s body has been milled from a single block of 6000 series Aluminium, the same material that’s used for the iPhone 6S and 7 series. The phone itself will be powered by a quad-core Mediatek 6737 clocked at 1.3Ghz processor along with 2GB RAM. The smartphone will pack a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD resolution. The screen will be 2.5D curved gorilla glass along with 450 nits of brightness. Nokia 3 will be powered by a 2650 mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone will come with 16GB internal storage along with support up to 128GB microSD cards. ![Nokia_3_with_Nokia_Stereo_Headset_WH-201](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Nokia_3_with_Nokia_Stereo_Headset_WH-201.jpg) The smartphone will sport an 8MP camera module with f/2 aperture and LED flash on the back along with an 8MP camera module with a similar f/2 aperture on the front. The front camera will use the display as the flash along with a wide angle covering 84-degree according to the company. Nokia 3 will support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, microUSB and LTE in terms of connectivity options. HMD Global has packed the smartphone with Accelerometer, ambient light, e-compass, fingerprint, gyroscope and proximity sensors to increase the capability of the smartphone. The smartphone will be available in blue, silver, matte black, and copper colors at launch. One interesting thing to note is that the smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The company **clarified in the live blog** that it is giving Pure Android experience without any skins or added bloat. Head here for complete coverage of the Mobile World Congress 2017 .
