MSI Introduces Windpad 100W For Rs. 34,900

Looks like India is getting a regular dosage of tablets now. First Apple released the iPad in India and now MSI brings their very first tablet, Windpad 100W, to our shores. Does it have what it takes to beat Apple’s tablet?

The windpad blows over to Indian shores

Firstly, the tablet has its own User Interface running over a Windows 7 Premium operating system. Windpad 100W will be powered by Intel’s mobile processor and has quite a few apps to showcase. Let’s first look at the physical aspect:

  • 10.1-inch 1024 x 600
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB
  • Dual cameras
  • 32 GB SSD Storage Space

Apart from these regular mundane features the tablet also has Easy Face to enhance the security of the tablet and a Taskbar Magnifier to help view the taskbar. Also there are quite a few pre-installed applications including Microsoft Office Starter 2010, Adobe Reader and Flash Player.

The tablet features a 2 GB DDR II RAM and there’s also an HDMI port to connect to an external monitor. Windpad offers a G Sensor and a Light Sensor Detect as well.
