Motorola Moto G third-gen likely to launch today

A few days ago, Motorola had sent out invites for an event on 28 July. While **most have anticipated that it will be the Moto G (third gen)** , new details of the upcoming smartphone being imported to India have now been found. According to a report by  MobileSyrup, new images of the device have also been leaked. The report adds, “There are some key improvements over last year’s model. The LTE-enabled Moto G 2015 will come with a 1.4Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, a 13MP camera with dual LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 2,470 mAh battery. New for the Moto G series is IPx7 water resistance, which should allow slight submersion and rain or moisture exposure. The device is also expected to have a 5-inch 720p display and 1GB of RAM.” [caption id=“attachment_274970” align=“aligncenter” width=“640”]Moto G (3rd gen) leaked image. The quantity according to the report stands at a little under 50,000 units. The specifications are a mix of 8GB and 16GB variants of the device, with either 1GB or 2GB RAM. The unit retail price mentioned in the shipment records (not to be confused with retail selling price) is mentioned as Rs 9582, and Rs 10359 for 1 GB and 2 GB RAM version, respectively. Earlier, Motorola had sent out invites for its event slated for 28 July. The company is expected to launch the rumoured third iterations of Moto G and Moto X. The event will be held in New Delhi, alongside events in London, New York and San Francisco. The event will be first held in India at 3:30PM, followed by Sao Paulo, New York and London. The company has also setup a microsite for the event. The India invite reads, “A good friend will offer you their umbrella. A best friend will forever be ready to dance in the rain with you.” The other invites are also along the ‘relationship’ lines.
