Motorola has now dropped the price of its Moto G second generation, making it cheaper by Rs 3000. It is now priced at Rs 9,999, instead of the previous price tag that read Rs 12,999.
This further hints that Motorola is making way for the new Motorola Moto G successor. Recently, its exclusive partner Flipkart had accidentally listed the Moto G (third generation). Apart from the fact that the 3rd Gen Moto G will come in the white colour with 8GB storage, there wasn’t much listed on the site. The model number of the listed Moto phone was AP3560AD1K8.
Previous leaks have suggested that the next generation of the Moto G will be a major upgrade over the 2nd gen Moto G. It is expected to come with a 5-inch or a 5.2-inch full HD display and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 SoC with 1.7GHz quad core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, the existing Moto G second generation comes with a larger 5-inch display, an 8MP rear camera and 2MP one on the front, which is a jump from the previous Moto G’s 5MP rear shooter and 1.3MP front camera. The Moto G second gen came equipped with Android KitKat, but Motorola soon released the latest 5.0 Lollipop update. Read our first impressions of the Moto G second generation here.
Recently, at Flipkart's Big App Shopping Days sale, the Moto G second generation was up for grabs at Rs 10,999.
