Motorola brings Fire, Fire XT Android smartphones to India

Motorola Mobility Inc. has today brought to India Motorola Fire XT and Motorola Fire.

Motorola brings Fire, Fire XT Android smartphones to India

Motorola Mobility Inc. has brought the Android 2.3-powered Motorola Fire XT and Motorola Fire to India. The Fire XT boasts of a 5 megapixel, auto focus camera and a front facing camera as well. The Fire XT also allows access to social networking enhanced by tools like video chat, email and Swype texting.

Motorola Fire comes with a full QWERTY keypad, and sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen, and like the Fire XT, Fire too comes with ease of access to social networking tools.

Here’s a look at the specifications of both the Motorola Fire and Motorola Fire XT:

  • Access to more than 250,000 apps from  Android Market
    3G  / Wi-Fi enabled and support for 3G hotspot for connecting up to 5 devices
    Access to Google Maps, Google Talk and Gmail
    FM Radio with radio data system (RDS) support
    2GB microSD card in box, expandable upto 32GB
    Supports e-mail (POP3/IMAP4), enterprise-class e-mail and MMS
    Assisted global positioning system (aGPS)
    E-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer

Motorola Fire XT is available in India across select outlets and comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,890, and is available at Best Buy for Rs. 12,990. The Motorola Fire comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,990 and alternatively is available at Best Buy for Rs. 9,490.
