Moto X with Bamboo back panel available on Flipkart now for Rs 24,990

One of the key attractions of the Moto X is the customisation aspect, and while Indian users don’t have access to the Moto Maker tool, Motorola has launched several colour options and texture options in India, including wooden backs. The Bamboo rear finish is now available on Flipkart, priced at Rs. 24,999. It will join the existing Teak and Walnut versions also available on the website for the same price. Initially, the wooden back variants were priced at Rs 25,999, but Flipkart is currently offering a discount on these models.

While the Moto X is nowhere as successful as the Moto G or the Moto E in India, it can carve out a niche for itself in the market, thanks to its performance and cool software features. Despite the additions of touchless controls, active notifications and other sensor-based features, Moto X is as speedy as any modern Android phone and this in spite of having a dual-core processor.

As we saw in our review of the phone, the X is one of the best phones you can buy from a design and performance point of view and if you have an older phone to exchange for it, Flipkart is offering a minimum of Rs 4,000 off. Motorola is likely to announce more smartphones and devices for India in the coming months, starting with the Moto 360 watch and the next-gen Moto X, rumoured to be called Moto X+1. Both are likely to be Flipkart exclusives too.
