The Moto G is speculated to be a more budget-oriented variant of the Moto X. Earlier there have been reports about a rumoured Moto device sporting a Motorola DVX moniker and exchangeable colourful back covers. Does this mean we can expect a new Moto smartphone soon?

The Moto X was the first “big” announcement from Motorola ever since Google acquired it. In fact, it is the first phone where the search giant has control over both the hardware and the software. The Moto X is customisable in 504 ways, so there’s a lot to choose from before making a buying choice. There are two options for the front and numerous for the back panel, including two made out of wood. The Moto G may also offer these customisable options.

Let’s quickly brush through some of its key specifications of the Moto X. It sports a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, comes with Android 4.2.2 out-of-the-box, 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage options.
