Moto G goes up for preorder on Snapdeal, sold out within 2 hours

While we though Motorola plans to bring the Moto G to India exclusively via Flipkart , the device went up for preorder on Snapdeal . The website has reportedly received 1,000 preorders for the 8GB Moto G, and the site now says that its stock of the phone is all “sold out”. Reports suggest that the Moto G units were sold out within two hours. Snapdeal is now letting users key in their email address and will then go on to notify users about the availability of the device.

While we though Motorola plans to bring the Moto G to India exclusively via Flipkart , the device went up for preorder on Snapdeal .  The website has reportedly received 1,000 preorders for the 8GB Moto G, and the site now says that its stock of the phone is all “sold out”.

Reports suggest that the Moto G units were sold out within two hours. Snapdeal is now letting users key in their email address and will then go on to notify users about the availability of the device. It should be noted that the device would reach users only by the third week of February. The site has also listed an 8GB Moto G model on its site.

Snapdeal is also attracting users with a lot of freebies such free Airtel 1GB 3G data codes within 7 days of product delivery,  one year of accidental warranty, one year extended support warranty and a back panel case. The device is also listed on Flipkart and users should be able to buy the device later today. The online retailer also promises some “incredible” offers such as lucky winners could win 100 percent cashback on the Moto G, Rs 500 discount on e-books and more.

However, none of the sites have yet revealed the pricing just yet. The Moto G is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000. In terms of specs, the Moto G sports a 4.5-inch HD ‘edge-to-edge’ display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, amounting to a pixel density of 329ppi, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen.

It runs Android 4.3 and the company has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat for the device. Under the hood, the device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor clocked at 1.2GHz with1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel front shooter and a 2070mAh battery.
