The Moto G in India is clearly a roaring success. Within hours of it being launched in India, the device has sold out on Flipkart, which had exclusive selling rights. Flipkart is currently displaying a message that reads, “Thank you for the smashing response. We’re sorry, we’re out of stock right now. We’ll be back with more by noon”. There was no sense of how many devices Flipkart had as part of its starting stock. Launched yesterday at an event held in Delhi, the 8GB model is priced at Rs12,499 while the 16GB unit is up for grabs at Rs 13,999. The Google based Motorola phone is being seen as a great bargain, with impressive specs and a budget price tag. It was also eagerly awaited in India. To attract users, Flipkart is also offering deals that include **100 percent cash back** and 70 percent off on Moto G covers. And it has clearly worked. Flipkart says its will be exclusively selling the Moto G. However, reports circulating the web claim that Snapdeal has already received 1000 preorders of the device. The Moto G has already received **rave reviews** for its build, performance and price. Its specs are believed to put competing budget Android devices to shame. The launch of Moto G also marks Motorola’s re-entry into the Indian market. As promised, Motorola has launched a dual SIM variant of the Moto G in India too. A quick look at the specifications reveals that the Moto G sports a 4.5-inch HD “edge-to-edge” display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, amounting to a pixel density of 329ppi, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. Under the hood, the device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 4.3, upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat. Some other specs include 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel front shooter and 2070mAh battery.
