The 16GB variant of the Moto G is now back in stock on Flipkart, the exclusive retailer for the smartphone in India. The smartphone had seen such high demand that the 16GB version was sold out in the first 15 minutes. The smartphone was out of stock on the website after that.
The Moto G 16GB is now back in stock. Moto G launch saw Flipkart’s traffic increase two-fold from normal days, while as much as 67 percent of its traffic was driven by Moto G. The Moto G page alone saw 1 million page views on launch day while Flipkart’s total mobiles sales were five times that of its usual daily mobile sales.
Given that the 8GB version of the smartphone was available at Rs 12,499, which was only Rs 1,500 less than that 16 GB version priced at Rs 13,999, users naturally went for the device with more storage. The 16 GB device was sold out not once but twice. Now that the initial rush has died down, the phone appears to be in stock.
Most reviewers have given the smartphone a thumbs up for quality and the price. Our own review noted that this is probably the best budget Android smartphone around. Of course, there are smartphones around with better specs but given that Motorola is a seasons manufacturer, this should be a natural choice for many. As far as specs are concerned, it offers some stunning ones for a low-price. Moto G has a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, a 5 megapixel camera and a 2,070mAh battery. It has 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual-SIM cards and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Soon after the launch, the phone saw an update for Android 4.4.2 KitKat .
