Mortal Kombat Collector's Editions Announced

After the disappointing MK VS DC Universe, the Mortal Kombat franchise is all set to redeem itself by going back to its hyper-violent, fatality fuelled roots. Hell, the PS3 version of the game will ship with the most angry character on the PlayStation 3 - the God of War himself, Kratos. And now laying on some icing on this bloody cake is the announcement of two collector’s editions of the game.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

First up, we have the Tournament Edition that’ll ship with the game, a portable fight stick (Whoa!), and downloadable content that’ll include an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes.

According to the Gaming Liberty , both bundles are limited to the US but since Warner Bros. have started distributing their games in India via E-xpress, we hope that at least one - if not both - makes it to Indian shores.

Mortal Kombat will release for the Xbox360 and PS3 by March 2011.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
