More Nintendo Wii 2 Details Leak

The new Wii 2 is said to use a three core IBM processor and AMD’s R700 class of graphics processors. The hardware is very similar to the existing Xbox 360 console. The original Wii was a much simpler piece of hardware and somewhat underpowered as compared to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If the specs are to be taken for granted, the Wii 2 is bound to be a comparitively slower console than that what its competition will have in their next refresh. There’s rumours of the controller also having a small display on it. The Wii 2 is likely to launch towards the end of 2012 and a first glimpse is expected at E3 in June this year. The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 still have some life left in them. The next generation of gaming consoles from Microsoft and Sony are expected sometime in 2014.
