More details on the HTC One S, V and X emerge

Going by the rate at which smartphone details are being leaked, MWC suddenly doesn’t seem that exciting, after all. We now have more details on HTC’s line-up – the One S, One V and One X. HTC have adopted this new naming scheme for their 2012 phones and it seems like they will eventually launch more phones under the One series.

HTC seem to have a strong line-up for 2012

HTC seem to have a strong line-up for 2012

We’ve been hearing about the HTC One X for a long time now, previously under a different name, like Endeavour and the one before that, the Edge. This will most likely be their flagship handset, as right now it’s powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and will sport a 720p LCD screen. The phone is also said to have an 8MP snapper at the back. We’ll know more details about it, like the onboard storage, NFC, etc. by next week. The next phone in line is the One E, which will sit between the One X and One S. Previously known as the HTC Ville, the phone will feature a 4.3-inch qHD screen and may have an AMOLED display. We also have  leaked NenaMark2 benchmark details for the One E, which shows its dual-core CPU, doing what it does best. The 1.5GHz CPU features the Adreno 225 graphics chip and managed to score a solid 60fps, while running Android 4.0.3. This is more than double of what the Sensation XE is capable of, so we know what to expect in terms of performance.

Finally, we come to the HTC V One or the HTC V, which was the earlier, the HTC Primo. This phone will focus on music, so it will come with Beats Audio. It will also have a 3.7-inch screen, a 1GHz CPU and Android 4.0. There’s also rumour about the HTC One XL that could be their next tablet. All these phones will be running Ice Cream Sandwich on launch, but for the full details, we’ll have to wait for a few more days.
