If latest reports are to be believed, there may finally be something more substantial on the still unannounced Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone.
According to China’s official certification site TENAA , the images below are of the Lumia 625, and going by the details mentioned, the smartphone supports WCDMA (R6 version and support for HSDPA/HSUPA)/GSM (GPRS). In addition to these, the Lumia 625 features WAPI security mode with wireless LAN capabilities.
Is this the Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone?
In May this year, there had been reports about Nokia working on a new smartphone , dubbed the Lumia 625. GSMInsider had reported that the smartphone in question would sport a 4.7-inch screen, making it one of the largest phones in the Windows Phone 8 line-up. The Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone will be powered by a dual-core MSM8690 Snapdragon S4 processor by Qualcomm.
The resolution on the display will be 800 x 480 pixels, rather low for the large size of the screen. This gets especially puzzling considering the fact that unlike Windows Phone 7, Windows Phone 8 does have support for higher resolutions, including WXGA resolution (1280 x 768 pixels).
Engadget reports that the Nokia Lumia 625 is likely to be available in China at the end of this month for 1999 yuan ($325).
