MobiTV and Intel are working together to develop, sell and distribute the MobiTV services, optimized for interoperability with Intel Architecture-based laptops, Ultra Mobile Personal Computers (UMPC) and Mobile Internet Devices (MID).
The MID is a new category of devices offering consumers a mobile form factor, persistent Internet connectivity, and access to a rich and compelling set of personalized entertainment and productivity applications.
“MobiTV is a welcome addition to the mobile Internet ecosystem,” said Rob DeLine, director of marketing for Intel’s Ultra Mobile Group. “Combining Intel’s mobile hardware technology leadership with the recognized leader in mobile television will ensure the best possible TV experience on notebooks, UMPCs and MIDs.”
