Apart from revealing Xbox One during its pre-E3 conference, Microsoft also revealed some of the accessories that can be used with the console. The list includes a one-ear mono headset, but unfortunately, the headset won’t be included with the console.

The Xbox support team confirmed in a tweet that the headset will not be shipped along with the next-gen gaming console**.** This move comes in as the company would like the user to explore the new Kinect on the console as it comes with a built-in mic.

The one-ear mono headset won’t come with the Xbox One pack

Even though its predecessor, Xbox 360, came with a basic headset, the next-gen console won’t feature the same. This could be one of the standout differences between the two next-gen consoles, viz. PS4 and Xbox One, as they battle out to gain the market share. On the other hand, Sony has confirmed that it will include a basic mono ear-bud and microphone with each system.

Though the Redmond-based firm is yet to set a price tag for the new headset, it is expeceted to be priced high, as the firm is now busy promoting third party headsets by Turtle Beach and Polk priced at $200 (Approx. Rs 12,125). These headsets can stream stereo and surround game audio using wireless connectivity.

Moreover, the ear-bud that comes with Xbox 360 won’t be compatible with the new console, as the support team has confirmed that due to a proprietary connection to the controller, existing Xbox 360 headsets will not be directly usable on the Xbox One.
