Microsoft's budget Lumia 532 and Lumia 435 launched in India; starting at Rs 5,999

Microsoft brings its two most affordable Lumia devices - Lumia 532 and Lumia 435 - to the Indian market. The Lumia 435 is available at a best buy price of Rs 5,999 and Lumia 532 at Rs 6,499.

Both devices run the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1 along with Lumia Denim. ensuring updates like one-swipe Action centre, Word Flow, Live Folders and more.

Both devices feature a 4-inch WVGA 800 x 480 display, 8GB onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB, up to 30GB free OneDrive, 1GB RAM and are fuelled by a 1,560 mAh battery. The differentiating factors are the camera and processors. The Lumia 435 comes equipped with a dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor and a 2MP rear snapper. On the other hand, the Lumia 532 comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and a 5MP shooter. Both devices have included a VGA front-facing camera for selfies.

Speaking at the launch, Raghuvesh Sarup, Director-Marketing at Nokia India Sales Pvt Ltd. (a Microsoft Mobile subsidiary) said, “The latest Lumia 532 and Lumia 435 address the need in the market for those looking at an uncompromised experience in their first smartphones, and at affordable price points. The new devices combine the best hardware and software innovations that enable the consumers to access the latest Windows Phone experience and Microsoft Services.”

Microsoft has also bundled offers for Indian audiences including 50MB data/per month free of cost for two months from Airtel. Travellers can also use the Windows Phone RedBus app on their Lumia 532 and Lumia 435 and get Rs 1,500 worth of discounts on bus tickets over six single trips through the app (Rs 250 off on every trip for 6 journeys - valid for 6 months from the date of app activation). Paytm offers Rs 750 cashback of recharges through the Paytm app (Rs 150 off every month for 5 months) and six months of Truecaller Premium subscription worth Rs 360 free.

Both devices are available in single and dual-SIM variants, and up for grabs in bright green, bright orange, white and black colour options.
