At the ongoing E3, Microsoft has disclosed its plans to officially bring the Xbox One to the Indian market. This will include the Xbox One console, Xbox One wireless controller and a 14 day trial of Xbox Live Gold for new members, priced at Rs 39,990. Gamers will have to wait a little longer as the latest XBox gaming system will be up for grabs starting 23 September. The Xbox One console comes equipped with a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray player and built-in Wi-Fi.
Microsoft has also announced the XBox One with Kinect for a price of Rs 45,990. The Kinect version promises some content exclusive to Xbox One such as gesture controls, biometric sign-in, controller paring, Skype video calls, instant personalization, instant scanning of QR codes, and some other enhanced functions only available with Kinect in games such ‘Kinect Sports Rivals,’ ‘Dead Rising 3,’ and ‘Project Spark.’
The Xbox One gaming launch line up in India will be spruced up with some exclusive blockbusters, including AAA titles like ‘Forza Horizon 2’ and ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection,’ which comes with the highly anticipated ‘Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer beta.
Some other features include Game DVR/Upload that lets gamers capture and record their greatest game moments and Upload Studio allows editing and sharing clips with the community. It is loaded with some apps such Skype specially designed for Xbox, IE, OneDrive, etc. The TV on Xbox One allows watching live TV from your cable, telco or satellite set-top box via your Xbox One using HDMI. The new system also comes with updates Xbox Live that now brings access to entertainment even without Xbox Live Gold membership.
Microsoft will also continue to offer its Gold Rush program in Asia that gives fans the chance to win prize pack featuring real Gold and a Collector’s Edition Titanfall pack for just being on Xbox Live Gold. Moreover, those who purchase a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription before June 30 will be entitled to the Xbox One downloadable version of Ryse: Son of Rome, and Killer Instinct Ultra Edition Add-ons worth $100.
