Microsoft will support Windows 10 mobile till January 2018

Unlike iOS and Android, Microsoft offers just one version for a longer period of time along with regular updates and newer builds for users. Microsoft has now confirmed that they will provide support to Windows 10 mobile till the end of 2017 for all users. According to Microsoft, the company will make updates available for the operating system, including security updates, for a minimum of 24 months after the lifecycle start date. These updates will be incremental, with each update built on the update that preceded it. In addition, Microsoft stated that customers need to install each update in order to remain supported. The distribution of these incremental updates may be controlled by the mobile operator or the phone manufacturer from which you purchased your phone, and installation will require that your phone have any prior updates. As of now, Windows 8.1 is the latest build available to users while Windows 10 Mobile is regarded as one of Microsoft’s best bets considering the features and services clubbed in the operating system. Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 devices are the  Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in India. The Lumia 950 is priced at Rs 43,699 while the Lumia 950 XL is priced at Rs 49,399. Both these devices come in dual sim variants and will go on sale starting December 11 via Amazon India, Reliance Digital stores and Microsoft Priority sellers.Users who pre-order the devices will get a Display Dock free worth Rs 5999, as long as stocks last.
