Microsoft Selfie for iOS makes you look better in your selfies

Microsoft's Selfie for iOS app clicks perfect selfies by reading the user's age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and many other variables.

Its been quite a dry spell with Microsoft in terms of new apps for other platforms, so there is indeed nothing better than a selfie app to cheer users up. Yes, Microsoft after a long time has launched an app for iOS that does not deal with productivity (in a way).

The Microsoft Selfie for iOS app for Apple iPhones, will use the functionality of a software, to make user's photos look good in all selfies. It does this by clicking an image and analysing the user's age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and many other variables to produce a better looking selfie. Upon clicking your photo the app provides users with features that will let you manipulate your mug shot to make it look even better. Think about it as the Lumia Selfie but for Microsoft's iOS fans that will let you tweak the already tweaked image even further with noise reduction, intelligent enhancement, automatic exposure and colour themes.

However there is problem and it is do with a common work flow associated with selfies, sharing. For now, the Selfie for iOS app will not let you share to other apps directly. You will need to save the image and then push it via the social networking app.

This is no normal selfie app as it is more to do with Microsoft's machine-learning tech that was demoed earlier that not just clicks a subject as it is, but analyses it and delivers smarter and more likeable outputs that in this case results in better selfies. For now the app is only available for Apple iPhones.
