Microsoft has launched Office 365 University for students studying in accredited colleges and universities in India. Office 365 University brings the latest office applications for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. These are available for both part-time and full-time students. It can be installed on up to two PCs or Macs, for use by a single person. In addition, it also bundles up 20GB of Premium SkyDrive storage and Office on Demand.
A four-year subscription for Indian students and faculty
“University students will love the capabilities of new Office. Office 365 University will be a trusted and integral part of students’ everyday always-on, always-connected life, taking full advantage of the cloud and touch capabilities, all at the best price,” Ramkumar Pichai, GM, Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India, said in a statement.
A four-year subscription of Office 365 University has been priced at Rs 4,199. Students can check if their college or University is eligible to purchase the Office 365 University on the office.com/verify site. Students will have to fill in details such as their university credentials or international student identity card ( ISIC) during the verification process. After the verification, students will be able to purchase Office 365 University from the online Microsoft store.
Besides students, faculty and staff from accredited institutions can also purchase the subscription.
