Microsoft today announced that the latest version of the Internet Explorer, IE 11 would be available as a free download for Windows 7 from today.
The company made the announcement on the official IE blog and said that Windows 7 customers will be automatically update to IE 11 in the coming weeks. Customers running the IE11 Developer and Release Previews will get the new IE 11 for Windows 7 first.
The company says that IE 11 ensures 30 percent faster load for real world websites. Microsoft also says that “IE11 on Windows 7 improves performance across the board with faster page loading, faster interactivity, and faster JavaScript performance, while reducing CPU usage and improving battery life on mobile PCs.”

Microsoft says the browser is 9 percent faster than Internet Explorer 10. It also enables better 3-D graphics rendering in websites, allowing users to manipulate 3-D objects on-screen.
Microsoft also claims IE11 has improved JavaScript performance, with the new Chakra JIT compiler, and more efficient garbage collection.
