Microsoft Introduces Private Folders

In a bid to stave off the extreme criticism about the lack of privacy and security in Windows, Microsoft today introduced Private Folder 1.0, free software that lets people store their data in a password-protected folder. Private Folder 1.0 , which is saved to a person’s desktop, aims to shield private data from others when they have access to someone’s computer or account. This will be an additional headache for I.T administrators as disgruntled and enterprising users can hide their infractions under a layer of security. Anyone wanting to download this software will have to go through the normal WGA check which itself has garnered a lot of criticism in the last few weeks.
