Microsoft is all set to announced a series of hardware products at its Lumia event today. The Redmond giant is expected to make the Windows 10 Mobile OS official with the launch of the flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL. Also now with the Apple iPad Pro and Google Pixel C launches done with, it is the turn of the company who in a way pioneered the professional 2-in-1 space with the launch of the Surface Pro 3.

MIcrosoft Display Dock lets you play back full HD videos from your phone to your big screen and it also works with the audio coming out of the HDMI cable
Phone experience and Desktop experience are separate, so that even though you are using the desktop mode the phone can still take calls. Universal apps adapt in real time depending on the device it is being used on.
The apps scale seamlessly from the phone to the monitor, once it is connected to the Display Dock.

The larger, 950 XL or Cityman, is likely to come with a 5.7-inch display, and almost a similar set of specs. Apart from the larger display, some other differentiating specs will be an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,300mAh battery.
From what we know so far, the Lumia 950 will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, we expect a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB RAM, 20-megapixel rear snapper, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery.
Since the launch of Windows 10 by Microsoft on 29 July, there’s has been no information on number of users who upgraded and the percentage of users who are on Microsoft’s latest operating system. Hopefully Microsoft will give some sort of numbers today
