Now that Satya Nadella is the new Microsoft CEO, he is also back on Twitter. Nadella’s Twitter account had been steadily gaining followers ever since it became evident that he was pretty much going to be new Microsoft CEO. Nadella hadn’t tweeted since 2010.   His first tweet on Twitter affirmed his commitment to Twitter. Nadella tweeted, “first commitment as CEO…i won’t wait 4 years between tweets!’   Fair enough. However Nadella isn’t be the only tech bigwig who didn’t stick to Twitter despite joining early on. The list includes Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, both of whom gave up tweeting somewhere around 2010 and 2012 respectively. Then, of course there is Oracle founder, Larry Ellison who has so far tweeted only on Tweet since he joined the site.   In contrast to the above three is Google’s Executive chairman Eric Schmidt, who’s been an on and off tweeter. Recent tech entrant to Twitter Apple’s Tim Cook has been much more regular on the site. Also Cook’s tweets are not just about Apple, which is always a plus point.   Nadella’s first tweet as new CEO got quite a lot of retweets. As of this writing, 2872 users retweeted it, while 2,198 users marked it as a favorite. He has not tweeted since.
