Microsoft has announced that it is rolling out a new Skype update for desktop and Mac users on 30 October. The new version of Skype for desktop was available in the Preview since August. There is also an option for sorting chat lists by time, unread or status. Skype has added a new notification panel to manage mentions in group chats, notifications about missed calls and reactions to messages. Another feature in the media gallery helps you to quickly locate content already shared in a previous conversation. Microsoft will also enable the feature allowing users to insert GIFs and YouTube videos directly into the chat box alongside other add-ins in the preview version of Skype desktop.  This latest upgrade for Skype will be available to Mac or Windows 7, 8 and 10 starting from 30 October. This announcement comes almost 2 weeks after Microsoft announced the introduction of group video calling feature and Artificial Intelligence-based chatbot named “Ruuh” for  Skype Lite . The video calling is available for all Skype Lite users across the country and will allow anyone to join the group video or audio call on the app for free. “ Ruuh ”, with female voice rendition, helped users create personalised cards for Diwali apart from chatting with the user, the company said.
