Microsoft will soon use iView multimedia for digital photo management for a better edge in the digital software market. Microsoft is looking to broaden its new Expression line of graphics and Web design tools by giving it a tool that is popular among photographers and other graphic artists.
Although Microsoft has bought the London based iView, the software will also be available for Mac OS X. The announcement of the purchase came at a time when Adobe released a beta version of a similar program called Lightroom.
It is not clear as to when the software will be integrated with Microsoft, but iView has promised more information on the same in further announcements.
