Micromax only just launched the Canvas Doodle 3 and it has quietly released another dual-SIM smartphone, targetted at the youth segment. The highlight feature of the phone is its swappable back covers available in four shades, but its other specs aren’t too shabby either. The Canvas 2 Colours which has been listed on the official website has a 1.6GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor under its hood. The processor has been coupled with 1GB RAM, so performance should be quite smooth. Unfortunately there’s no information about the price and availability of the phone. It sports a 5-inch display with 720p resolution and runs Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Micromax has gone for an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and HD recording capability. The phone also has a 2MP front camera. The swappable back covers will be bundled along with the phone. Red and blue coloured covers will come with the dark grey coloured body, while the white body phone gets yellow and green back covers. The dual-SIM phone comes with microSD card slot which will allow you to expand 4GB of on-board storage space up to 32GB. Connectivity features include Bluetooth, micro-USB, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G for cellular data. Powering the phone is a 2000 mAh battery. The company claims the battery will deliver a talktime of 7 hours and 45 minutes with a standby time of 225 hours.
