Micromax seems to have quietly launched a new smartphone. Dubbed the A34, the handset is in the affordable price range with a price tag of Rs 4,399. The handset is currently available at online shopping websites.
The Micromax A34 sports a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. This gives it a pixel density of 116 ppi. It has 512MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot with support for SD cards of up to 32GB. For connectivity, it is equipped with a dual-SIM setup and is capable of connecting to both 3G and 2G networks. Other than this, it also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The A34 is aimed at the budget-concious consumer
Under the hood, it is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor coupled with 256MB of RAM. While not having highest-end specs, the phone should be quite capable of handling simple smartphone-related things such as browsing the web or listening to music. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The shooter on the handset has a 2 megapixel sensor capable of capturing images of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. Sadly enough, there isn’t any front-facing camera. All of this is kept alive by a 1350 mAh battery, which Micromax claims can provide 4 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 121 x 67.2 x 12.25 mm, which puts it on the slightly bulkier side if you consider its 3.5-inch display. It is rather light, though, weighing in at 85 g.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
