Micromax is launching the Smarty A25

Micromax has been on a roll recently with the launch of its Micromax Ninja 4 A87. Now, the phone maker is ready to launch its new phone, the Micromax A25 – an Android Gingerbread phone that is aimed at those with a tight budget. The Micromax A25 will be available for purchase on the retail website Saholic at 4 AM tomorrow, and shipping is free. Consumers who choose to purchase this handset will receive it within four days with an option to pay cash on delivery.

The Smarty A25 comes pre-loaded with the Hook Up chat app

The Micromax A25 is a dual-SIM phone that packs in a decently powerful 1GHz processor along with 256MB of RAM. The phone features many pre-loaded apps, including Micromax’s own Hook Up app that allows you to chat with your friends using the internet. The phone also packs in a gravity sensor that allows you to play some games that use motion control and a 1280 mAh battery that has a quoted standby time of 180 hours.

Here is a quick look at some of the main features of the Micromax A25:

  • 2.8-inch capacitive TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels
  • 3G, Edge, GPRS, Wi-Fi
  • 1.3 MP Fixed focus camera with video recording capabilities
  • Bluetooth v2.1, USB v2.0
  • Memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card

Recently, Micromax had unveiled the Micromax Ninja 4 A87 phone, which is also available on Saholic. The Micromax Ninja 4 A87 comes loaded with Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor that should be enough for this handset to run smoothly. The brand has bundled a 1400mAh battery along with the handset. It claims that it features a talk time of around 5 hours or a stand-by time of approximately 175 hours. The handset is available in three colour options, which should suit most users’ preferences.

Micromax also recently unveiled the Superfone Pixel A90. This handset is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone sporting a 4.3-inch display. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs on the Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. With a 1600mAh battery, the official statement claims that the phone can provide up to 5 hours of talk time and 174 hours of stand-by time. Other key features include an accelerometer and a light sensor. This handset is available in the market for Rs 12,990.
