Micromax Canvas Hue 2 now listed online at Rs 11,736

Looks like Micromax plans to quietly launch its next Canvas smartphone - the Hue 2. Though there has been no offical announcemnt from the company, the Canvas Hue 2 is listed online at a price of Rs 11,736. Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh telecom has also revealed the specs and price of the new Hue 2, and it is likely to be available in offline stores. According to the retailer, the Hue will be priced at an MOP of Rs 12,499, while the MRP is Rs 17,999. The Canvas Hue 2 (model number - A316) is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It sports a 5-inch HD AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. However, the retailer lists a 1.7GHz octa-core processor. One can expect 16GB of onboard storage that is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB and Bluetooth. A 2000mAh battery completes the package.
