Micromax has been churning out smartphones like no other company. The company now brings a new smartphone to the budget Bolt series – Bolt A66. It is available on the company’s official site for a price of Rs 6,000. The A66 is the **second device** in the Bolt series to be released in the past two months. The website promises to deliver the handset in 7 to 10 days. In keeping with the price, the Bolt A66 has middling specs. It sports a 4.5-inch TFT display with 480 x 854 pixels of resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710G processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The budget phone also comes equipped with a 2MP rear camera with LED flash. The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. Disappointingly, the device comes with mere 512MB of RAM, which means it wouldn’t be able to support too many high-end apps. It does let you expand external storage via the microSD card slot. All of this is fuelled by a 1500mAh battery that promises 4.5 hours of talktime and 116 hours of standby time. The A66 gets the older Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, even though it has enough oomph to take on more recent versions of Android. As is norm, Micromax has pre-loaded the device with apps such as Spuul, Hike, Opera, Milive and Game hub. The Bolt A66 appears to be a minor update over the A61, that came with meager 256MB RAM among other entry-level features. The company is also preparing to launch a new youth-centric smartphone dubbed **Canvas mAd A94** that will pay users for watching advertisements.
