Mauritania hacker claims he hacked millions of Twitter accounts

In a scary revelation for Twitter, a Mauritania hacker claims to have compromised the security of millions of accounts and has leaked the credentials of over 15,000 users, according to a report by Techworm.

In fact, if the report on the website is to be believed, all leaked data, including the Twitter IDs of users, their oauth_token and oauth_token secret codes have all been put for download on file-sharing site Zippyshare in plain text format. All of this data can potentially be used by miscreants to log into a user’s Twitter ID and wreak havoc. That’s not all according to the report; the hacker has even explained how to use oauth_token to log into a user’s account.

Twitter’s security compromised?

While the hacker has leaked the login credentials of some 15,000 users, he told Techworm that he has access to the entire database of Twitter users and that no account is safe from him. “…may be he will leak unlimited accounts credentials in the coming future,” the report adds.
