The Nokia news keeps coming in. A monthly report by AdDuplex has revealed a great deal about how Windows Phone devices are doing. According to the new statistics, the Nokia Lumia 520 controls 27 percent of the Windows Phone 8 market, while the company’s current flagship, the Lumia 1020, is also doing well since its recent launch.

All figures in the new report point to the Lumia 520 being the most popular Windows Phone device. Breaking down the performance based on individual countries, it seems like the Lumia 520 is going from strength to strength in the Indian market. The smartphone currently accounts for 36 percent of the Indian Windows Phone market.

Another Nokia Windows Phone doing well in the Indian market is the Lumia 720, well enough, infact, to take over the popular Lumia 620. The report conducted a poll on Twitter to find out about why this happened. The response garnered from the same suggested that users like a large-screen smartphone. This should be good news for the Lumia 625, according to the report, which is currently out in the Indian markets for Rs 19,999. The Lumia 920, surprisingly, accounts for just 4 percent of the Indian market. Overall, nearly 25 percent of the devices still run Microsoft’s older Windows Phone 7 OS.

In the global Windows Phone listing, the Lumia 1020 ranks in at number 32, but stands at a higher 16 position in terms of Windows Phone 8 models. Keeping in mind that the smartphone was recently released in the market, it is tough to really gauge the performance of the same just yet. The report notes that there are only two companies of note in the global Windows Phone market; Nokia, accounting for 87 percent of the market, and HTC, which controls around 10 percent.
