RIM is back in the spotlight this week with their handset being caught on pictures and a video. Those of you following BlackBerry news might have already been used to the pre-release images of their smartphones. Anyway, coming to the pictures, the Torch 2 has been caught on some really clear pictures this time.
The sensor is NOT a camera
From what sources say, the handset will be running on BlackBerry OS 7, although about a month back the Torch 2 was said to be running OS 6.1 , but let’s leave that for RIM to decide. The device uses both touch and a QWERTY keyboard as input interface. Check out the images of the Torch 2.
Slide out QWERTY keyboard
Apart from the pictures there’s a video as well, but somehow it’s acting pretty funny. You can still have a look at the video from this link . Also, from what these guys say, the Torch 2 apparently has a sensor in the front and that shouldn’t be mistaken for a front facing camera.
Our resident Hardware Ninja, Rossi, lives for speed - by uhh riding his bicycle. He's Tech2's utility man, dividing his time between cameras, software and intense bouts of Quake III. He's also a fan of all things obscure, case in point, Live for Speed (sic). Never heard of it? We rest our case. In his spare time he tries to teach our new joinees the tricks of the trade even though the blood sweat and tears, but give him a camera and all things forgotten.
