Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Or is it just a done-to-death dialogue? Well, we’re only talking about Nokia’s plans to release a Man of Steel Limited Edition Lumia 925 .

After the Batman-themed Nokia Lumia 900 last year, the company is planning to release a special Superman Limited Edition Lumia 925 a day after the movie’s official release. Curb your excitement, though; the phone will in all probability land only in China after Man of Steel releases on June 14.

It looks like the Lumia 925 Superman Edition will see the superhero’s logo on the back of the phone. A wireless charging cover will be available for purchase as a separate accessory as well when the phone becomes available in the market. The phone could also come pre-loaded with the Man of Steel Windows Phone 8 app that has been developed for the devices exclusively. The app itself features a countdown to the movie’s release, wallpapers, challenges, ringtones, DC Comics digital comic books, trailers and more. You will also be able to find nearby theatres with Nokia’s HERE Maps.

Earlier this month, Nokia UK also hosted a contest on Twitter to give away a special edition Lumia 920, styled after Manchester United’s former boss Sir Alex Ferguson . On the occasion of his retirement, Nokia came up with a red Lumia 920 to match the club’s colours with a farewell message engraved on the back. “Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson. Manchester United Manager, 1986-2013. Good luck Sir Alex,” the back of the phone reads.

The Superman edition though is set to have an initial run of – surprise, surprise – 925 units. The phone is set to be priced at Yuan 3,999 (approximately Rs. 36,360) when it hits the China market on June 14.

Intrigued by all things social, Nishtha will invariably tweet about you. When not tweeting or writing about the next viral video, you will hear her proclaiming her love to Metallica, James Hetfield, Opeth, Akerfeldt and all bands that go 'growl'. She also obsesses about ACP Pradyuman and South Park and you will always find her moving around with a book. Her focus is on all the happening stuff in the tech domain, and she won't hesitate to take a shot at some of the oddball devices that make their way to our labs.
