LG to launch G3 flagship smartphone tomorrow

Earlier this month,  LG  started sending out invites to the international media for its upcoming event to be held across the world in six different cities on May 27 and May 28. LG will be hosting events in San Francisco, New York, and London on May 27, followed by Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul on the next day.   The company doesn’t explicitly mention G3, but there has been enough evidence hinting at LG’s next flagship G3. Firstly, as the year kicked off, reports circulating the web suggested that LG  will launch the G3 in the second quarter, and the device will hit store shelves by June. The invite also hints at a brushed aluminum finish for the smartphone.   Though the company has been tight lipped about the device, a lot has already been said and written about the device. Evleaks had given us a sneak peek into the circular Windows mode of the G3. In fact, in its most recent press note, the company has revealed a folder-style case dubbed QuickCircle  that will allow users to enjoy various features such as check the time, place calls, send text messages, take photos, listen to music or get an update of their health directly from the circular window, without ever having to open the cover.   A recently leaked LG  G3 sales presentation  slide confirmed nearly all specs and features.  LG has  already confirmed  a  2K display , and we’ve also seen the leaked retail packaging that clearly hints at a  gold option  for the device. The leaked slide now confirms a 5.5” Quad HD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440.   Along with the big screen the G3 is also expected to have a 1 watt booster amp which we presume enhances the audio output. Last year’s G2 came with support for hi-res 24-bit/192kHz music files, so LG is building on the audio features too.   Additionally LG seems to have caught on to the manufacturer trend of focussing on selfies. Its back mounted hardware buttons could be used to control the smartphone’s 2.1 MP front facing camera. It is also said to get a 32GB expandable memory and 3GB RAM.
